This is a documentary about stand up comedy, and it contains clips of live shows, and thoughts from comedians, from both Britain and America. I don’t know a single person who isn’t interested in stand up, so it’ll be interesting to most.
It was aired on the BBC back in 2011, in two parts, about an hour each. It even goes back into the history of comedy briefly, although it is based almost exclusively in modern times. It includes thoughts and analysis from Billy Connolly, Eddie Izzard, Jack Dee, Omid Djalili, Frank Skinner, David Baddiel, Shappi Khorsandi, Simon Amstell, Dara O Briain, Chris Addison, Jack Whitehall, Ed Byrne and Jim Davidson, and clips from people as far back as Groucho Marx.
I hope it isn’t blocked in some peoples’ country, that’d be annoying and disappointing.
Those are the first two parts, click here for part three, and the remaining parts should come up on the right hand side.
If it’s blocked in your country or something, do a search for it, and find it somewhere else. Enjoy.
